How Can Missionaries Help Me?
We don’t claim that our missionaries can answer all your questions, but they do have some tools that can help you find answers and come closer to God.
Tony and Marnie’s relationship hit rock bottom. The change came in a way that they least expected—with a knock on the door.
“Why am I here?’ ‘Where did I come from?’ and ‘Where am I going?’ When I met the missionaries, they answered those questions for me. More important ... was the peace I felt that came with them. It was as if all of a sudden my life had purpose.”
—Steve B., Seattle, Washington
Think of missionaries as spiritual coaches
No matter where you are on your spiritual path, missionaries will have truths and insights that can help you on your way.
Help you feel closer to God. Show you how to pray and receive answers from Him. Help you find answers to your spiritual questions. Teach you about the Savior Jesus Christ and His gospel. Guide you in ways to understand the scriptures. Support you through your personal challenges. Encourage your progress toward repentance, faith, and baptism. Introduce you to a community of like-minded believers who can continue to support you in your spiritual journey
You may have already been seeking some of these things. Or maybe you did once and never found answers that felt right. The Missionaries can help you discover the answers you need.
“When I met the missionaries, I was an active member of my former church, which I loved very much. There were ... lots of questions that remained unanswered. When the missionaries shared with me their message, everything was so clear; it just made so much sense to me. As I made my own effort to continue to study and pray about the messages, I felt so much joy inside my heart, and I knew by the power of the Spirit it was true.”

Meet the Missionaries
Who are the Latter-day Saint missionaries? They're runners, chefs, musicians, artists, students – or in other words – pretty normal people. They put their lives on hold for up to two years to share the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
They’ll help you learn about God’s plan
Your relationship with God can be deeply personal. But sometimes we all need a little help recognizing what God is saying to us. He hears and answers your earnest prayers. Our missionaries can teach you how to listen so that you can feel His Holy Spirit. You can know what God wants for you.
“I really wanted to know if there was a God and if God loved me. I wanted to know which church was His Church. When I met the missionaries, they began to teach me ... and when they asked me if I believed these things were true, I said to them ‘Doesn’t everyone believe these things are true?’ These things felt good and right to me; however, I felt that I needed to know for sure. I resolved to pray and ask God to know what was true.”
