Find answers to your questions about life by experimenting with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Read about 3 principles that can help guide you as you make important decisions.

1. Fasting and Prayer

Fasting is when a person goes without food or drink for a set amount of time to accomplish a righteous purpose. Fasting, along with prayer, has the power to strengthen your spirit and provide clarity. Praying can provide answers to you for many of life’s questions and fasting shows a willingness to sacrifice in order to receive divine guidance and blessings. Jesus Christ taught about prayer and fasting by example and through His teachings.

2. An Example to Follow

Jesus Christ lived a life free of sin. He provided a safe example to follow. By studying His life and teachings, you can learn to emulate Him and live in a way that will bring you greater happiness and peace. As you do, you will become more like Him and come to know Him on a personal level.

3. How Christ's Atonement Helps

Have you ever made a mistake and felt so bad inside that you couldn’t shake the feeling? The life of Jesus Christ is the remedy. Jesus Christ paid the price for your sins, died for you, and was resurrected. Because of His sacrifice and atonement, all people will be resurrected, and those who obey His gospel will receive the gift of eternal life with God. When you repent and forsake sin, you can utilize Christ’s atonement, become spiritually clean, and feel at peace. Read more about how the atonement of Jesus Christ can ease your burdens here.
